Clemson Footbal

I had a panic attack during the last 2 min of the Clemson/USC game tonight. I was breathing hard, my heart was beating fast, I was completely overwhelmed by the game. It was 21-20 and we were driving the field. We kicked a field goal with three seconds to go and won the game. My symptoms subsided. I actually had to sit down and talk myself through the fact that this was only a game and it would be OK. I am weird! (Yes this really happened) Well, we will see what kind of bowl bid we will get. Lets go Tigers.

Homeless on Tuesday

Tuesday night we had a group of students go over to the Triune Mercy Center to play some music and serve a meal to some of the Homeless people here in Greenville. My friend Paul Blumer is the Founder of Food For Life Ministries and he is psycho for Jesus. The Varsity band played and we all had a great time hanging out. My friend Bobby got up and shared about his new life in Christ. Check out this video of the whole thing.

Humilty

Why does this seem so simple when I read it?

Luke 14:11 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

God is teaching me to humble myself whether I like it or not.

On a similar note, I read a great quote on Steven Furtick's blog the other day.
"
A focus on self-preservation
is the greatest limitation
on the momentum of a movement."

Jesus is rocking me right now. I need it.

No More Candy!

My birthday and Halloween is on the same day. I have eaten candy and cake for the past two days. My doctor is going to kill me, if I don't go into a diabetic coma first. Bye-bye candy, hello treadmill.
